The Cube wihthin the Cube - a videoinstallation

A dance of color between light and darkness awaits the visitor of this installation.  One enters into a darkened, cubic space.   On the opposite wall, the light spectacle suddenly presents itself: a play with form that continually dances along the scale of light, a constant change of shades.  Light appears in a regular, rhythmical movement between luminous presence and obscure absence - a photogrammatic motion picture.

 An explanation for the origin of this lucid work does not exist.  Therefore, a history of the origin is not possible.  This picture realm is not based on an existing medium.  Instead, it generates itself directly.  The location of the genesis is a small, black cube in the middle of the room.  Incomprehensible as a purely internal performance, the light becomes discernable as it is projected onto the large format of the canvas.  That which is evoked by this cube appears mysterious.  However, the interior remains devoted to the simplicity found within the ensemble of moving light, object, and light sensitive element.
